One person was killed and two hospitalized in an overnight single-vehicle crash that caused the hours-long closure of a stretch I-95.
All three occupants of the vehicle were hospitalized following the crash, which occurred on the southbound side just north of Exit 17 in Westport at about 3:45 a.m., state police said. Two of those hospitalized were for precautionary reasons, police said.
The roadway remained closed for several hours while collision analysis reconstruction squad members processed and documented the scene with assistance from state DOT.
